PCBH Staff


The Plymouth Center for Behavioral Health is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team from the fields of psychiatry, psychology, social work and mental health.

Dr. Julie A. Johnson is the Founder and Director of The Plymouth Center for Behavioral Health, LLC.
She attended The University of Hartford for her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology as well as her Master's of Arts in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Johnson also holds a Master's of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Lesley College. She did her Post-Doctorate work at the Center for Sexual Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Johnson is a Certified Sex Therapist through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT). Her areas of clinical focus are sex therapy, sexual health, couples therapy, adults, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution focused therapy, depression, anxiety and addiction. Sandy Logan
of Plymouth, is the clinic's Practice Manager. Sandy has served in similar capacities at two other mental health clinics on the South Shore over the last ten years, where her skills included working with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy patients. She earned a Management Degree from Cape Cod Community College, and prior to working in the field of mental health she was the manager of a chain of retail stores throughout Eastern Massachusetts.

Kathleen Murphy is the clinic's Administrative Assistant. She has worked 20 years in corporate system support. She holds a degree in IT/Visual Communications.

Zach Smith, M.D. - Psychiatrist
Graduate Degrees: Dr. Smith completed fellowships in psychosomatic medicine, addiction psychiatry, and addiction psychiatry research, and is a Certified Medical Review Officer.
Zach Smith, M.D. has an extensive background in psychiatry, substance abuse, and psychosomatic medicine.  His innovative research on anabolic steroids, drug testing for substances of abuse, and use of performance enhancing agents has been featured in national and international publications and has been presented at the American Psychiatric Association and American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry.
